Missing Alzheimer’s Patient Found in Lefkoşa
An elderly Alzheimer’s patient who went missing in Lefkoşa over the weekend has been found safe and well.
According to a statement from the police, 75-year-old Mehmet Gökmen disappeared on Sunday afternoon near the Devpa supermarket in the Marmara area of Lefkoşa.
Authorities promptly called on the public to report any sightings or information to the nearest police station.
Thankfully, later that same day, police patrols located the missing man in the area around the Assembly of the Republic. He was found unharmed, and his life and health are not at risk.
The police extended their gratitude to everyone who contributed to the search effort and helped ensure the safe return of the missing patient.
