Truck Operating Hours Monitored in Nicosia
This morning, road safety teams in Nicosia conducted inspections on the operating hours of trucks and passenger transport vehicles with public operation permits. The inspections uncovered six drivers violating regulations, and legal actions were initiated against them.

It is worth noting that trucks weighing 5,000 kilograms or more are prohibited from operating during the morning rush hour, specifically between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, one hour before the official start of the workday.
The inspections identified four truck drivers who failed to comply with this restriction. Furthermore, two drivers of vehicles with public operation permits were reported for not adhering to the conditions specified in their permits. Legal measures were taken against both groups.
The police emphasized that, in addition to regular traffic monitoring, inspections on the operating hours of trucks and vehicles with public operation permits will continue nationwide to ensure compliance and road safety.
