Parking Fees in Nicosia Surge
Residents of Nicosia have expressed their dissatisfaction with a significant rise in parking fees. Starting from the new year, parking charges in various parts of the city have more than doubled.
According to local media, the Turkish Municipality of Nicosia (LTB) raised parking fees near the municipal market from 20 to 50 Turkish lira in the early days of 2025. Similar increases in parking fees have been reported across other areas within the municipality.
Local residents have strongly criticized the sharp price hike, citing the already challenging economic conditions.
