The Cyprus Parliament discussed the expansion of the gambling and casino sector

Representatives of the Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Authority visited the factions in the Cyprus Parliament and discussed the future development of the sector.
The President of the Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Authority, Pieris Khouridis, said that they met with all parties represented in parliament to exchange views on the most important issues concerning the present and future of the casino sector.
The Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Authority announced that it discussed key issues and requested support during the meeting with political parties, such as:
- The proper implementation of the regulatory framework and effective supervision of the sector;
- Progress made in licensing and control processes;
- Special attention to protecting vulnerable groups in the implementation and strengthening of responsible gaming policies;
- The sector’s contribution to the economy of Cyprus and its growth prospects;
- Technological developments and new market trends requiring modern approaches and supervisory tools.
