62,000 People Attend Opening Day of TEKNOFEST in Northern Cyprus!
The aviation, space, and technology festival TEKNOFEST welcomed an impressive 62,000 visitors on its first day in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The event is taking place from May 1–4 at the site of the old Ercan Airport, with 116 different stands open to the public.
This major festival offers a wide array of exciting activities — from technology competitions and interactive science workshops for children on “Science Street,” to aircraft exhibitions, a planetarium with film screenings, a Cyprus Peacekeeping simulation zone, and a space-themed exhibit.
Visitors can also enjoy immersive XR (Extended Reality) experiences, simulation booths, first flight and pedal-flight sessions, science shows, the live performance event "Sahne Senin," and evening entertainment on the main stage.
Aerial demonstrations by SOLOTÜRK, the Turkish Stars, and flyovers by F-4 fighter jets, ATAK helicopters, HÜRKUŞ aircraft, and Bayraktar TB2 and AKINCI drones are set to be among the highlights of the festival.
TEKNOFEST is held under the auspices of the President of the TRNC, with support from the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Technology Team.
Entry to TEKNOFEST TRNC is completely free, but prior registration is required on the festival’s official website. Each participant must register individually, although children under the age of 7 do not need a ticket.
The festival grounds are open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
