"Colors of Women's World" Exhibition Opens in North Cyprus Ahead of March 8
As part of the celebrations for International Women’s Day on March 8, the 26th annual “Colors of Women's World” art exhibition has opened at the Atatürk Cultural Center in North Cyprus. The event was inaugurated by TRNC President Ersin Tatar and his wife, Sibel Tatar.
The exhibition showcases 65 paintings by 29 female artists and is organized under the theme “The labor, success, and struggle of our women are a source of pride.” Hosted by the Kyrenia Özgürada Lions Club, the event aims to support a meaningful cause—all proceeds will be donated to the pediatric oncology department of Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, President Ersin Tatar expressed his pleasure at attending such a significant event in honor of International Women’s Day. He highlighted the valuable contributions of Turkish Cypriot women in shaping society and emphasized that their efforts, achievements, and ongoing fight for rights are a source of national pride. He also extended his appreciation to everyone involved in organizing the exhibition.
“The dedication and perseverance of women have played a crucial role in our society’s progress. Their achievements inspire future generations, and this exhibition beautifully reflects their artistic and cultural contributions,” said Tatar.
The Kyrenia Özgürada Lions Club was also praised for its efforts in bringing the exhibition to life. President Tatar personally congratulated the club’s members and wished them continued success in their work.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from March 5 to March 7.
