Drivers complain about broken roads in Famagusta industrial zone
The condition of the roads remains a serious problem in the Gazimağusa Büyük Sanayi Bölgesi. According to local entrepreneurs and drivers, the asphalt in the industrial zone has not been repaired for a long time and is covered with numerous deep potholes.
Residents and business owners note that the roads here resemble "mole holes": traffic becomes difficult, and vehicles sustain damage. After rain, the situation worsens — roads turn into mud, puddles, and slippery patches form.
Entrepreneurs working in the industrial zone say that due to the poor road conditions, their vehicles wear out quickly, and customers increasingly avoid traveling to the area. This, they claim, leads to economic losses.
Drivers also complain about suspension breakdowns, tire damage, and additional costs for car repairs. During rainy weather, as locals point out, there is a risk of vehicles skidding on such roads.
Citizens emphasize that the problem has existed for many years and find it unacceptable that roads in such an important industrial zone remain in this state. They call on the authorities to carry out repairs and update the infrastructure as soon as possible.
