Live-Fire Military Exercises Underway in Sadrazamköy Area
Military exercises named Cengiz Topel “Mediterranean Storm” (CTAF) 2024 are currently taking place near Kyrenia, involving live ammunition. These drills will continue at the Sadrazamköy range until September 20.
According to a statement from the Kyrenia District Administration, the area has been designated a “danger zone” from September 1 to 20 due to the exercises.
“For the safety of people and property, entering this area for activities such as grazing livestock, harvesting olives, carob fruits, or other produce, conducting agricultural work, fishing, sightseeing, walking dogs, or any other purposes is strictly prohibited during the exercises,” the statement emphasized.
