In Northern Cyprus, a “brain stimulator” has begun to be used for the treatment of neurological diseases
In Northern Cyprus, modern neurosurgical treatment methods are being introduced using the so-called “brain stimulator” (deep brain stimulation). This technology is used for a number of neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, and certain forms of tremor.
The method involves implanting a special device that delivers electrical impulses to specific areas of the brain, helping to reduce symptoms and improve patients’ quality of life. Specialists emphasize that this intervention is carried out only after thorough examination and careful patient selection.
According to doctors, the introduction of such technologies is an important step in the development of the country’s healthcare system and offers hope to patients who previously had to seek similar treatment abroad.
