Fire Breaks Out at Ammunition Factory in the US
A major fire broke out last night at a military factory in Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA. The factory produces artillery shells for the needs of the US armed forces.
The fire at the military facility started around 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (11:00 PM Cyprus time). According to media reports, the factory is one of seven facilities where ammunition is manufactured for the US armed forces. This includes large-caliber and mortar shells.
The fire at the military facility has already been confirmed by the factory's owner, General Dynamics. Eyewitnesses shared videos and photos online showing thick black smoke billowing from the army factory. Emergency services have arrived at the scene.
At present, the fire has been extinguished, and no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident. The exact cause of the incident is not yet specified.
