Freshwater Herb Festival to be Held in Tatlısu
The 9th Herb Culture Festival in Tatlısu will take place on April 1 this year, under the theme “Return to Nature.”
The festival will feature a wide variety of edible herbs and plants, traditional dishes from Turkish Cypriot culture, handmade crafts, as well as live performances and concerts. The celebration will kick off at 10:00 AM on April 1.
According to the organizers, the festival's goal is to raise awareness about the importance of reconnecting with nature and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Tatlısu's mayor, Hayri Orçan, emphasized that the Herb Festival is one of the most important cultural events in Cyprus. The festival plays a key role in encouraging a return to nature and educating the public about healthy eating.
This year, the festival will host 140 stalls showcasing natural products, traditional foods, handmade art, and elements of Cyprus’s almost forgotten cultural heritage.
The festival stage will feature performances by popular Turkish singer Seyyal Taner, Murat Öngün Eres, known from "O Ses Türkiye," award-winning Balkan artist Cüneyt Şentürk, and local talents such as Arda Gündüz, Kadir Carlos, Grup Gam, and virtuoso violinist Nina Kochubey.
