Dangerous Chivas Regal Whiskey Removed from Sale in the TRNC
A dangerous batch of Chivas Regal whiskey has been found in Northern Cyprus. The drink was discovered to contain alcohol that is unsafe for consumption.
The Ministry of Health of the TRNC has announced the recall of this popular alcoholic beverage. The Ministry confirmed that the product is unsafe and urged consumers to return it immediately.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Turkish Republic, released on November 11, certain batches of Chivas Regal whiskey with the lot number "LKWT2991" were found to contain alcohol that is prohibited for consumption. As a result, measures have been taken to withdraw the product from the market.
The Primary Health Care Department (TSHD) of the TRNC Ministry of Health also confirmed that the affected product had been imported to Northern Cyprus and made available for sale.
Retailers selling the whiskey have already been notified about the recall, and the importers have initiated steps to remove it from the shelves. The Ministry of Health emphasized that the product should not be consumed under any circumstances and should be returned immediately to the place of purchase.
"To safeguard consumers from health risks, the batch of Chivas Regal whiskey with lot number 'LKWT2991' has been pulled from sale and sent for further testing," the Ministry stated.
