In the TRNC, strategies for combating drugs are being discussed

A panel discussion on strategies for combating drugs in the TRNC started today in Northern Cyprus. The event began at 11:00 at the Acapulco Hotel in Kyrenia and will run until April 19th.

The event, titled "TRNC Drug Strategy Panel www.panel2024.org," is organized under the auspices of the wife of the country's Prime Minister, Yunus Ustel - Zerrin Ustel.

The panel discussion will be chaired by the Rector of Ankara University and the Prime Minister's Commission on Drug Control, the International Society of Cognitive and Behavioral Psychotherapy. Municipalities of Alaykoy and Goneli are invited as stakeholders.

On the first day of the event, there will also be an award ceremony by the International Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Awards will be presented in several categories.

The awards will be given in recognition of the contribution of individuals and institutions to the fight against drugs and support for efforts to raise awareness in this area.

During the discussion, speakers specializing in drug control will provide participants with up-to-date information and share the most modern drug control strategies. It is expected that the meeting will provide an opportunity to strengthen regional cooperation and develop new solutions in the fight against drugs.

On the third day of the event, April 17, a roundtable discussion will be held under the leadership of the President of the TRNC Drug Control Commission, Tayfide Techela Hatipoglu. At the end of the meeting, the project report will be presented to the Prime Minister of the TRNC. This document will play a decisive role in determining the future direction of the TRNC's drug control strategy.
