In the TRNC, the vice-mayor of Nicosia passed away
Hüseyin Önder Eçesoy, the vice-president of the Turkish Municipality of Nicosia (LTB), passed away in Northern Cyprus.
According to local media reports, the politician died today after a heart attack. The deceased man had been undergoing treatment for heart failure for a long time.
Önder Eçesoy had worked for many years as the head of the cleaning department of the Turkish Municipality of Nicosia. In the last two terms after retirement, he had been a member of the council of the Turkish Municipality of Nicosia, and recently he became the deputy mayor.
The funeral of the vice-mayor will take place on Tuesday, March 5, after the midday prayer at the Nicosia cemetery.
