Ecolive Harvest Festival to Take Place in Akdeniz Village on Sunday
This weekend, the Ecolive Harvest Festival will be celebrated in Northern Cyprus. The annual event is set to take place on Sunday, October 27, in the village of Akdeniz.
Now in its fifth year, the festival aims to support local producers, raise awareness of the cultural and economic significance of the olive tree, and promote environmentally friendly production practices.
The festival will be held in a picturesque location among the olive trees, where visitors can enjoy traditional local delicacies and handmade crafts. Participants and guests will also have the chance to pick olives and observe the olive oil production process firsthand.
The Ecolive Harvest Festival is organized with the support of the municipality of Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel (LAÇ) and the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry. Children who participate in the olive harvesting will receive local olive saplings as gifts.
The celebration will kick off at 8:00 AM and continue until sunset.
