Dormitory Fees Increased at Universities in Northern Cyprus and Turkey
The Turkish Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) has announced an increase in dormitory fees. On average, the costs have gone up by 50%.
With the new rates, the lowest dormitory fee has increased from 345 TL to 517.50 TL, while the highest fee has risen from 570 TL to 855 TL.
In Northern Cyprus, the dormitory fees have also been raised, going from 750 TL to 1,125 TL.
It’s important to note that students who do not pay their deposits by September 15, 2024, will have their dormitory registrations canceled.
Here are the updated dormitory fees for the 2024-2025 academic year:
- Dormitory Type: 345 TL › 517.50 TL
- Dormitory Type: 405 TL › 607.50 TL
- Dormitory Type: 480 TL › 720 TL
- Dormitory Type: 510 TL › 765 TL
- Dormitory Type: 570 TL › 855 TL
- Northern Cyprus Dormitories: 750 TL › 1,125 TL
