AUTHORITIES OF KYRENIA FINED A PERSON FOR THROWING GARBAGE OUT OF A CAR WINDOW
The municipality of Kyrenia has initiated legal proceedings against an individual who polluted the environment. The offender threw garbage out of the window of their car onto the ground and will pay a substantial fine for this action.
As reported on the municipality's social media page, the reason for initiating the case was a report from an eyewitness.
The irresponsible citizen was identified through the examination of surveillance camera footage. After reviewing the case, the offender was fined 1/4 of the minimum wage for environmental pollution.
Therefore, for the garbage thrown out of the car window, the guilty party will pay a fine of 4,526 Turkish lira.
