During nationwide traffic inspections, 54 vehicles were seized, 2 drivers arrested
Yesterday, during nationwide traffic inspections, police checked 2,008 drivers, according to the police. As a result, 272 drivers received official violation notices, 54 vehicles were taken off the road, and two drivers were arrested.
According to the police, the following violations were recorded: 87 — speeding, 5 — driving under the influence of alcohol, 1 — driving without a driver’s license, 1 — driving without insurance, 3 — using a mobile phone while driving, 7 — driving without seat belts, 12 — operating without technical inspection, 21 — driving without registration documents, 1 — operating without the required permit, 4 — failing to obey traffic lights, 4 — using a missing or defective muffler, 8 — noncompliance with road signs, 16 — tinted windows, 102 — other violations.
The police report highlights the scale and nature of offenses detected during a single series of inspections. Residents should bear in mind that similar checks may result in administrative sanctions, vehicle seizure, and, in some cases, criminal prosecution.
