During the fire in Istanbul, 29 people died: TRNC politicians expressed condolences
TRNC politicians expressed condolences in connection with the loss of lives during the fire in Istanbul. According to the latest data, the tragedy claimed the lives of 29 people. The fire at the entertainment center, located in the basement of a 16-story building in the Besiktas district, occurred on April 2.
Firefighters, medics, and police were dispatched to the scene. As a result, the fire was successfully extinguished.
According to preliminary information, the fire started due to repair work at the entertainment center, which operates on the minus first and minus second floors of the skyscraper.
As a result of the tragedy, 29 people died. Another 8 people were injured, 7 of whom are hospitalized in critical condition.
Prime Minister of the TRNC, Ünal Üstel, expressed his condolences in connection with the loss of lives.
"With deep sorrow in our hearts, we feel the pain of our brothers who perished in the tragedy in Besiktas (Istanbul). I wish Allah's mercy upon the deceased, condolences and patience to their relatives, and a speedy recovery to those injured. I regret the loss to our nation," Ünal Üstel wrote on his social media page.
Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the country, Hussein Chavush, also expressed his condolences in connection with the tragedy in Besiktas.
"I wish Allah's mercy upon those who perished in this tragedy, and I extend my condolences to their grieving families and relatives," the minister wrote.
