A driver in Lefke fined 10,240 lira after scandalous video on social media
In the Lefke district of Northern Cyprus, a driver was fined 10,240 Turkish lira for dangerous driving and endangering other road users.
According to traffic police data, the man was driving at excessive speed and performing maneuvers that posed a threat to road safety. The violation was recorded during patrol, after which the driver was taken to the police station for a report to be filed.
The case was referred to court, which found the driver guilty of violating the road traffic law under the article “creating danger on the road.” The court imposed a fine of 10,240 TL, which must be paid immediately.
The Northern Cyprus Police once again reminded drivers to follow traffic rules, especially in rural areas and sections with limited visibility, where speeding and risky maneuvers often lead to accidents. The agency emphasized that road control will be strengthened and fines for such violations will remain as strict as possible.
