Water Supply Restored Across the TRNC
The Department of Water Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has announced that water supply has been restored to pipelines throughout the country.
According to the department's statement, after repairing the malfunction, the pumps have been put back into operation, and water is now flowing through the lines.
Previously, it was reported that a power outage caused by the Cyprus-Turkish Electricity Authority at the Geçitkale pumping station disrupted the water supply across the TRNC, affecting the ongoing project to transport water from the Republic of Turkey.
The Department of Water Affairs clarified that it will take some time for the empty pipelines to be refilled and for the system to return to normal. Consequently, the public is encouraged to use water wisely and conserve it where possible.
