Compensations Paid to 71 Livestock Farmers for Bluetongue
It is reported that, according to the "Mandatory Animal Insurance Regulations" of the General Agricultural Insurance Fund, compensation payments have been made for the period from January to March 2025 to producers of small ruminants affected by sheep bluetongue.
The manager of the General Agricultural Insurance Fund, İpek Kızılduman, stated that compensation amounting to 2,028,120 Turkish lira was paid to these 71 producers for 186 cases of small ruminant infections. It was noted that the compensation was paid to producers through the Cooperative Central Bank.
