New Connector Road to Kyrenia-Nicosia Highway Now Open
Kyrenia Mayor Murat Şenkul has announced the opening of a new connector road linking Boğazyolu Street, the southern Doğanköy exit, and the Eminaga Garden area to the main Kyrenia-Nicosia highway. The old road will be closed, and drivers are urged to follow safety regulations.
The connector road, designed to provide a safer entry onto the main highway, officially opened on Monday, March 17.
In a social media post, the mayor stated that the Cyklos connector road's exit to the main highway is now closed to traffic, and the entrance from the highway will also be closed on Wednesday. From now on, the old Cyklos connector road will only be used for emergency response purposes.
"Although all necessary safety measures have been taken on the new connector road, we urge all drivers to adhere to speed limits, follow traffic signs, and respect road markings," the mayor wrote.
