12 Fires and 19 Incidents in Northern Cyprus Over the Past Week
Northern Cyprus saw 12 fires and 18 emergency incidents over the past week, resulting in a total fire damage of 229,650 Turkish Lira.
The primary causes of the fires were short circuits, gas leaks, and improperly discarded cigarette butts.
Emergency responders were also called to handle various other situations:
- Rescuing cats trapped in car engines and on rooftops
- Saving dogs stuck in wells and water tanks
- Assisting a person trapped in a car after an accident
- Managing the aftermath of heavy rains
