In one day, over 340 traffic violators were caught in Northern Cyprus
The TRNC police conducted large-scale checks on compliance with traffic rules across the country the day before. More than 340 drivers were held accountable.
According to the police press service, a total of 1528 drivers were checked. 341 violators were punished for various offenses.
218 drivers were caught speeding, 20 people were talking on the phone while driving, 16 drivers forgot to fasten their seat belts, 8 people were driving without a license, and two more were driving without insurance. The remaining 77 drivers were fined for other offenses.
The statement also mentions that 23 vehicles were prohibited from operation.
