Within a day, almost 500 traffic violators were caught on the roads of TRNC
Yesterday, the TRNC police identified almost 500 drivers violating traffic rules on the country's roads. 220 individuals were caught speeding.
According to the police press service, during raids conducted yesterday by road services across the country, 2,414 drivers were checked. 496 violators were held accountable for various traffic violations.
Criminal cases have been initiated, and legal proceedings opened against 220 drivers who exceeded the speed limit. The operation of 29 vehicles has been prohibited.
In addition to speeding, 174 drivers were fined for using a mobile phone while driving, and five individuals were caught driving under the influence of alcohol. The remaining drivers were held accountable for other traffic violations.
