Rosemary DiCarlo, the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, will arrive in Cyprus on Monday, February 10. She is scheduled to meet with the leaders of both communities on the island before heading to the capitals of the three guarantor countries for further consultations.

According to reports from both Turkish and Greek media, DiCarlo is expected to meet with Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar and Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides on the day of her arrival. The main topic of discussion is anticipated to be the potential opening of new crossing points between the two communities.

Following the talks, DiCarlo is expected to leave Cyprus the next day and travel to Greece, Turkey, and the United Kingdom for additional discussions.

It has also been noted that neither leader has yet confirmed a specific time or date for the meeting. Previously, the leader of the TRNC had expressed an interest in meeting with the head of Cyprus before DiCarlo's visit.

However, reports suggest that the efforts of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Cyprus, Colin Stewart, have not been sufficient to arrange a meeting between the two leaders.
