Residents of the TRNC were warned about dangerous ultraviolet radiation and forest fires
The TRNC Meteorology Department issued two emergency warnings due to the hot weather prevailing in Northern Cyprus. The region is experiencing a high level of ultraviolet radiation, and the risk of forest fires has increased.
According to meteorologists, on April 2nd, there is a "yellow" warning in the region regarding the level of ultraviolet radiation. Citizens are advised not to stay in the sun for more than 20 minutes, especially from 11:00 to 16:00, without taking necessary precautions.
Among such precautions, wearing wide-brimmed hats and sunglasses is recommended.
At the same time, meteorologists warn of a high risk of natural fires.
It is worth noting that today the maximum air temperature will reach 33°C with humidity ranging from 40-60%.
Additionally, there is still a meteorological warning in the region about dust coming to the TRNC from North Africa. It will remain in the air until April 4th.
