Residents of TRNC Urged to Become Blood Donors
The Union of Turkish Cypriot Nurses and Midwives (KTHES) has appealed to the public to donate blood as there is a shortage of all blood types in the country.
Patients suffering from thalassemia, a group of inherited blood disorders characterized by a reduction in hemoglobin production, are particularly in urgent need of blood of all types.
In their statement, the Turkish Cypriot Union of Nurses and Midwives called on fellow healthcare professionals and the public to become blood donors to meet the needs of patients.
