Lefke Residents Gather Signatures to Oppose Concrete Plant Construction
The Lefke Environment and Ecology Association has announced that local residents are protesting the planned construction of a concrete plant in Çamlıköy. Villagers have started collecting signatures to oppose the project.

In a statement, the association emphasized that the Lefke region, renowned for its natural beauty, is under threat. The proposed plant could have a harmful impact on public health, the environment, and local nature, potentially causing irreversible damage.
The statement also noted that many environmental issues in the region remain unresolved, and the community is determined to prevent any further problems from arising.
- "If permits are granted, we will continue taking necessary actions until the construction is canceled," the statement concluded.
