Livestock farmers staged a protest outside the ministry building

Livestock farmers of Northern Cyprus held a protest in front of the Ministry of Agriculture, demanding urgent measures to support the sector. Participants stated that rising feed costs and the lack of sufficient subsidies are pushing producers to the brink of survival.
According to sector representatives, the situation is particularly severe in small-scale livestock farming. Protesters emphasized that without immediate government intervention, farmers will be forced to reduce livestock numbers or cease operations entirely.
The participants demanded a revision of subsidy policies, lower feed prices, and more active dialogue with the relevant ministry.
