About Eastern Mediterranean University
The university was founded in the TRNC in 1979, and all its programs are accredited by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
Today, the university hosts 16,000 students from 110 countries and 1,100 faculty members from 35 countries. It offers quality programs in English, opportunities to study a second foreign language, student exchange programs, and rich options for sports, social, and cultural activities.

Campus
EMU offers vibrant campus life with numerous social and cultural activities organized by over 50 student clubs and international student associations under the guidance of the International Office.
Sports
EMU students have access to a wide range of sports facilities. The modern stadium with 5,000 seats, a tartan athletic track, a cardio center, an outdoor sports area of 66,500 sqm, and an indoor sports complex with 3,500 seats are just some of the facilities available to students.
Health
EMU has a fully equipped Health Center with 13 specialized doctors and a private ambulance. In addition to the Health Center, the university hosts over 30 research centers, some of which provide services directly to students. Students can access the Psychological Counseling, Guidance, and Research Center (PDRAM) and the Communication and Career Research Center for graduates directly.
