What tests are required for obtaining residence permit?
If you decide to stay in Northern Cyprus longer than the tourist visa allows, you need to obtain a residence permit.
And to apply for a residence permit, among other things, you need to undergo medical tests.

Medical Tests for TRNC Residence Permit
When applying for a residence permit in Northern Cyprus and after paying the test processing fee, you will receive the address of the laboratory in your personal account on the permissions.gov.ct.tr website, where you need to take the following tests.
Detailed blood test from a vein
They check for dangerous infectious diseases, including HIV, hepatitis B and C, as well as syphilis.
Tuberculosis test
Mantoux test; you must return to the laboratory after 3 days to show the test site for evaluation.
Fluorography (chest X-ray)
Prescribed in some cases, but often not required.

If even one test result is positive, you will be denied a residence permit — even if you own property.
How much do the tests cost?
As of mid-2025, the cost of medical tests for a residence permit in Northern Cyprus is 3042.80 Turkish lira.
How long do I have to take the tests?
You must complete the tests within one week after the laboratory is assigned in your account on the same TRNC Ministry of Interior website.
