Can you ask the border guard for a 60-day visa when entering NC?
According to the laws of the TRNC, a tourist has the right to stay in the country for 90 days. Not so long ago, right at the border control, you could get at least 60 days of stay. Now the customs does not put down such terms – they stamp 30 days for everyone, even if you ask. It is possible to extend a tourist visa by providing a rental agreement to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Lefkosa. If you have your accommodation on the island, they may allow you to stay here for 90 days upon the arrival. But you need to provide a contract of sale.
