Geroskipou Beach in Cyprus
One of the most famous beaches in Paphos — let's look at its features and how it might surprise you.

Geroskipou Beach
Located in the Geroskipou area of the Paphos district, the 400-meter-long sandy municipal beach is a center for active recreation — from water sports and sports tournaments to concerts.
The sand here is a deep golden color with small areas of pebbles, and the clear sea water is calm and shallow, making it popular for everyone, including families with children. The entrance to the sea has a gentle slope. Due to the breakwaters, there are rarely large waves here.
Another name for the beach is "Atlantis," in honor of the nearby fish restaurant of the same name. From the shore, you can clearly see the planes landing and taking off at Paphos Airport.
The beach is located in a secluded bay — there are no noisy roads or busy residential areas nearby. It is surrounded by picturesque gardens with soft lawns, perfect for walking after swimming. In fact, the beach owes its name to these gardens. According to ancient Greek legend, sacred gardens once stood here, where ancient residents offered gifts to the goddess Aphrodite. The word "Geroskipou" translates to "sacred garden."
Geroskipou Beach Infrastructure
The beach has toilets, showers, changing cabins, sunbeds, umbrellas, trash bins, waste containers, and water sports facilities. Nearby, there are restaurants, fish taverns, cafes, bar kiosks, convenience stores, and hotels.
From April to October, lifeguards are on duty with rescue equipment and first aid services. Nearby, there are tennis courts at the local tennis club.
Geroskipou for Children
There is a playground for children. In the sea, there is a fenced shallow area for children. One kilometer from Geroskipou Beach, you will find the "Paphos Aphrodite" water park, where kids will definitely have a great time.
Active Leisure and Prices
Parasailing costs 40 euros, catamaran rides — 20-30 euros, jet ski — 40 euros, water skiing — 30 euros, and speedboat rides — 60 euros. Sunbeds cost 2.5 euros.
Cafes and Weddings
There are several cafes and small restaurants near the parking lot behind the beach, where traditional cuisine is served, as well as kiosks selling ice cream and frappes. In the evenings, the "Malibu La Playa Beach Bar" hosts open-air discos with local and European DJs.
The green lawn in front of the beach has become one of the most popular places in Cyprus for holding outdoor wedding ceremonies. A romantic tent is set up here where the bride and groom exchange vows of love. A wedding reception can also be held there.
