The house of traditional Cypriot dishes one of the most recommended restaurant in town. Excellent traditional dishes, value for money and a warm Cypriot welcome for all. Since 1986 with the same management.


Tucked in a side street off Makarios Avenue, recently renovated, LAONA relies on its excellent reputation, which is widespread among those who only know the very best of traditional Cypriot cuisine. LAONA Restaurant is a family business restaurant owned by Chris, Koulla and Andreas with a 60 years experience in the restaurant business and present a genuine and infectious enthusiasm for their work. The food here in LAONA is prepared and cooked in the same way as by grandmothers and mothers before us. Our aim is the desire to introduce to both our new and regular customers a variety of genuine Cypriot dishes with refreshing changes in keeping with the seasons. Fresh meats, local vegetables and the plentiful herbs and spices which abound in Cyprus are the natural ingredients which form part of our succulent dishes.
