Beach Cleanup Campaign — Larnaca

For the sixth time, Cyprus is hosting the environmental campaign "Wish You Were Clean."
Its goal is not only to clean up the beaches but also to raise awareness about marine pollution.

The organizers of the campaign are Nikolas Oikologos, the Cyprus Ecological Movement, the Center for Social Innovation, and RESET.
As part of the campaign, scientists collect data on the amount and types of waste that end up in nature, including microplastics.
This helps to understand how pollution affects the environment and human health.
