Concert: Arnold & Frączek Percussion Duo

The final concert of the 16th International Pharos Contemporary Music Festival presents the of the exciting Arnold & Frączek Percussion Duo. Both percussionists are laureates of prestigious international competitions, and together they have performed in renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Palau de la Música Catalana, and the Lucerne Festival. They established the Duo in 2020, quickly gaining international acclaim for redefining percussive art through the distinctive sonorities of marimba and vibraphone. The duo has been acclaimed for its debut album Chopin - Alter Ego, featuring transcriptions of Chopin’s works for marimba, vibraphone, and glockenspiel, alongside original compositions.

For their Cyprus debut, the Arnold & Frączek Percussion Duo will present a programme centred on Chopin mazurkas and waltzes, interspersed with works for percussion by John Lawless, Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon, Mark Applebaum, Nebojša Jovan Živković, Takatsugu Muramatsu, Tomasz Arnold and Cypriot composer Nektarios Rodosthenous.
