Concert: Accio Piano Trio

As part of the concert-recital series by the Pharos Arts Foundation, Accio Piano Trio — a renowned European chamber music ensemble founded in 2013 at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg — will perform in Cyprus for the first time.

After its debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus in 2015, the trio has toured extensively worldwide, performing on leading stages and at major festivals, including the Kennedy Center in Washington, Shenzhen Concert Hall in China, Salzburg Mozart Week, and the Portogruaro International Music Festival. The ensemble is a laureate of prestigious international competitions, including the Carl Wendling Chamber Music Competition in Stuttgart and the Johannes Brahms Competition.

The concert program brings together three major works of the chamber repertoire: excerpts from Mozart’s Piano Trio K.442 (completed by Robert D. Levin), the atmospheric Piano Trio No. 2 by Cécile Chaminade — one of the key composers of the 19th century — and the large-scale, dramatic Piano Trio No. 2 in E-flat major by Schubert, regarded as a masterpiece of chamber music.
