Post-Carnival Cleanup — February 22
Last year, 45 tons of waste remained after the Grand Parade in Limassol. Most of it was collected mixed together and sent directly to the landfill, where the garbage can lie for decades, gradually polluting the soil and the environment in which we live.
City Friends Club is changing this situation.
Every year, the organization conducts a volunteer cleanup after the Grand Parade, extracting recyclable PMD waste and aerosol cans from the general waste stream and sending them for proper recycling. On average, volunteers collect about 5 tons annually. This year, the goal is to surpass this result, and everyone is invited to participate.
