Watermelon Festival

The Akaki Watermelon Festival is back and invites you to enjoy the sweetest fruit of summer!
Held annually, the festival celebrates the local watermelon growers and the delicious, sweet watermelons produced in Akaki Village.

This year, it will take place on Friday, July 25 at the village square.
Live music by Stefanos Pelekani will run from 20:30 to 00:00, followed by a DJ set for the younger crowd.

You’ll find tasty watermelon delights like watermelon candy, jam, watermelon cocktails, beer, and kleftiko available for purchase.

As every year, the Akaki youth will create themed festival T-shirts.
Festival staff will also be offering free watermelon and watermelon candy to visitors.
