Government Insurance
State medical care in the Republic of Cyprus is based on the national health system GESY. Cypriots contribute 6.5% of their salary and use the services of a general practitioner for free. Inpatient treatment is also provided free of charge. The services of other specialists and medication are provided at minimal cost. But this is if you have Cypriot citizenship or at least a residence permit. If this again is not your case — read on.
