July 11th: Unstable Air Masses Affecting Cyprus
According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Thursday, July 11, the region is affected by unstable air masses.
This morning, the weather will be predominantly clear, although there may be increased low cloud cover and some fog in coastal areas. However, cloudiness will gradually increase, and from noon, isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected, mainly in the mountains and inland areas. Hail may also occur during thunderstorms.
The meteorological service's forecast indicates that today's daytime temperatures will rise to 39°C in inland areas, up to 37°C on the northern coast, up to 35°C on the southeastern and eastern coasts, up to 33°C on the remaining coasts, and up to 29°C in mountainous areas.
By evening, the weather will be predominantly clear, but there will be temporary increases in low cloud cover, mainly on the western and northern coasts. Nighttime temperatures will drop to 25°C inland and on the northern coast, to 24°C on the other coasts, and to 21°C in mountainous areas.
In the coming days, the weather is expected to remain cloudy, with possible short-term showers. By Saturday, temperatures will slightly decrease and approach average climatic values.
