Strong Winds, Rain, and Snow Expected in Cyprus on February 13
According to the Republic of Cyprus Meteorology Department, weak low pressure and strong northwesterly winds will dominate the region on Thursday, February 13. A shift to weak high pressure is expected from tomorrow.
In the morning, local cloud cover will increase, with scattered rain and snowfall in the higher mountains. However, skies will gradually clear as the day progresses.
Daytime temperatures are expected to reach around 13°C inland, 15°C along the coast, and about 2°C in the mountains, where frost will persist in some areas.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear. Temperatures will drop to around 1°C inland, 6°C on the western coast, 4°C on other coastal areas, and -3°C in the mountains, where freezing conditions will continue.
As of now, snow depth is 11 cm in Troodos Square and 22 cm in Chionistra.
On Friday, the weather will remain mostly clear, with temperatures rising slightly. No significant changes are expected through Sunday, with temperatures staying close to seasonal averages.
