Rain and Dust Expected Across Cyprus on May 13
The Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus reports that a system of moderate low pressure will affect the region on Tuesday, May 13. Fine dust particles will also be present in the atmosphere at intervals throughout the day.
The morning is expected to be mostly sunny, but as the day progresses, cloud cover will increase in some areas. This may lead to isolated showers and even thunderstorms, particularly in the mountains, inland areas, and the southeast. The sea will be choppy.
According to the forecast, daytime temperatures will reach around 29°C inland, 22–25°C along the coasts, and about 19°C in the mountains.
Tonight, conditions will remain mostly clear, although the western part of the island may see temporary cloud build-up. Overnight temperatures will drop to around 16°C inland, 18°C along the coasts, and 7°C in the mountains.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, the weather will generally stay clear, though isolated showers and thunderstorms — possibly with hail — are expected in the afternoon. Temperatures on both Wednesday and Thursday are expected to remain steady, staying close to the seasonal average.
