Sunny Skies with Dust in the Air Expected in Cyprus on January 17
The Republic of Cyprus Meteorology Department has reported that weak high-pressure conditions will dominate the region on Friday, January 17. Fine dust particles are expected to linger in the atmosphere throughout the day.
In the morning, most areas of the island will enjoy mostly sunny weather, although some localized cloud cover may develop. This could lead to isolated showers, mainly over mountainous regions and the southeast. Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach around 18°C inland, 20°C along the coasts, and 10°C in the mountains.
Tonight, the weather will remain largely clear, though some cloud cover may develop, particularly in coastal areas. Temperatures will drop to approximately 7°C inland, 9°C on the coasts, and 3°C in the mountains, where localized frost is expected.
Looking ahead to the weekend and Monday, the weather is forecast to stay mostly sunny, with occasional patches of cloud.
Temperatures are expected to remain stable through Monday, staying slightly above the seasonal average.
