On January 17th, Cyprus is expecting local rain and thunderstorms
According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Wednesday, January 17th, the region remains under the influence of weak low pressure.
In the first half of the day, variable cloudiness, local showers, or isolated thunderstorms are expected. By the evening, the weather will improve.
According to the meteorological forecast, the daytime air temperature today will reach up to 18°C in the inland areas and on the coast, and down to 6°C in the mountainous regions.
By the evening and night, the weather will remain predominantly cloudy. However, later on, local rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected, especially in the western half of the island.
The air temperature will drop to around 9°C in the inland areas, down to 12°C on the southern and eastern coasts, down to 14°C on the western and northern coasts, and down to 2°C in the mountainous regions, where local frost is expected.
On Thursday, the temperature will slightly rise and fluctuate above the average climatic values; no significant changes are expected on Friday and Saturday.
