20-year-old teenager tried to fly from Cyprus to London with a fake passport
The police of the Republic of Cyprus arrested a 20-year-old young man who attempted to depart from Paphos Airport on Monday evening with a counterfeit passport.
According to the assistant director of the Paphos police, Michalis Nicolaou, the 20-year-old young man arrived at the departure area of Paphos Airport and presented a Syrian passport to fly to the capital of the United Kingdom.
During passport control, suspicions arose that the passport was fake. During questioning, the young man admitted that his real details differ from those recorded in the presented document.
The suspect was arrested and taken into custody to assist in the investigation of document forgery and impersonation.
