Cloudy Skies, Thunderstorms, and Hail Expected in Cyprus on December 23
The Meteorological Department of the Republic of Cyprus has announced that a low-pressure system will affect the island on Monday, December 23.
In the morning, cloudy skies will dominate, with scattered showers, thunderstorms, and hail expected in some areas.
Daytime temperatures are forecasted to reach around 16°C inland, 17°C along the coasts, and 8°C in the mountains.
By the evening, the skies are expected to clear, and the weather will improve. However, occasional cloud cover could still bring isolated showers, mostly along coastal areas.
Overnight, temperatures will drop to approximately 6°C inland, 12°C on the western coast, 11°C on other coasts, and as low as 3°C in mountainous regions, where frost is likely to form.
On Tuesday, the day will begin with cloudy skies, with a chance of rain in the west and north. Localized showers and isolated thunderstorms are also possible, with hail likely during storms.
Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to rise slightly over the next few days, staying close to seasonal averages. However, by the end of the week, another cold spell is anticipated.
