Cyclone Coral Continues to Impact Cyprus on February 25
According to the Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus, the cold weather system known as Cyclone Coral will continue to affect the region on Tuesday, February 25.
The first half of the day is expected to be partly cloudy, with no significant rainfall.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach around 13°C inland and along the coast, while mountain areas will remain much colder, with highs of just 4°C and persistent frost. In the evening, cloud cover will increase, and temperatures will drop to around 3°C inland, 6°C on the coast, and -3°C in the mountains, where frost is expected to continue in some areas. As of the latest update, the snow depth in Troodos was recorded at five centimeters.
Looking ahead, Wednesday and Thursday will see increased cloud cover, with scattered showers likely, mainly in the mountains. On Friday, local showers or even storms are expected. Snowfall is also forecast for higher elevations on Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will gradually rise through Thursday and are expected to return to seasonal averages by Friday.
